Passion in Novi Sad

As part of the major project “European Capital of Culture – Novi Sad 2022”, on the eve of the Great Lent period, both Orthodox and Catholic, the ORFELIN Vocal Studio, with its conductor and many domestic and foreign artists, performs Bach’s most magnificent work of sacred music.

MATTHEW’S PASSION…

…is a very demanding piece of music and therefore is very rarely performed in our country; we have no information that artists from Novi Sad have ever performed it.

We came up with the idea of ​​presenting this complex piece of music to you through the “Bach Novi Sad Path”, which is a new active way to get to know music, not just by listening to it and sitting in the audience.

When performing Bach’s masterpieces in the past, we went through such a “co-creative” path and wanted to embody it and “open” it in you.
